The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center has completely redesigned their CT and academic offerings by offering rigorous , relevant , problem based learning academies. The MCCTC has divided their 24 programs into 4 distinct learning academies. Each academy is driven from a ground up instructor and student empowered approach, where students learning , real world experiences and outcomes are job 1. Participants will learn how they too can impliment these academies. This presentation will cover the design and implement development, process and challenges to create successful academies in a CT setting.
